(Nov. 12, 2013) – Designed to provide Florida manufacturers with a competitive edge, the 10th Annual Florida Manufacturers Summit and Marketplace will be held Dec. 4-6, 2013 at The Vinoy Renaissance Resort & Golf Club in St. Petersburg, Fla. The Summit focuses on workforce issues, tax law changes and resources to help Florida manufacturers compete more successfully to win international, national and regional business opportunities. The Summit agenda spotlights 2013 Florida legislative changes that help to eliminate barriers to manufacturing economic growth in Florida, including the removal of sales tax on manufacturing equipment and machinery to encourage capital investment by Florida manufacturers.
The event agenda features a combination of education sessions on topics such as tax law changes, international business opportunities, economic development incentives, research initiatives, workforce hiring and training, and manufacturing industry best practices as well as a trade show. The event will focus on topics such as lean manufacturing, RFID and the return on investment (ROI) of radio frequency (RF) devices. Featuring live demonstrations and interactive presentations, this event will showcase how innovative technology solutions can connect manufacturers with business-critical intelligence and impact workforce productivity while providing networking opportunities for manufacturers to meet with warehousing, distribution and third party logistics (3PL) companies.
